December 1981: Lennon and More

I've never been much of a fan, but remember I was riding on the bus to school in the 9th Grade when the news came over the radio. If you were sentient in December 1981, it was not the only news story of the month. Do you remember these?

Dec 26, 1950 my wife, Judy, was born.
That aside...do you expect the world to care about any of this stuff. John Lennon was killed and...so what. He wasn't much use to anyone anyway.
